Unfortunately, the first three days of seasonal tests in Jerez that Kevin Manfredi and Team Octo Pramac had to face on the Energica bike for the Moto-E end in advance.
A positive first day in which the Spezzino immediately found an excellent feeling with the Team and the new bike, three rounds in continuous growth in which Kevin managed to improve almost two seconds per turn, touching the top 10.
Also on Tuesday, on the second day of testing with a wet track, the sensations on the bike were excellent, so much so that he remained fixed in the top 10 until FP3 where at turn 5 he crashed badly, causing several fractures to the ribs and minor injuries to the lung and liver.
Kevin is currently hospitalized and monitored at the Jerez hospital where the FIM also checked him, he will remain under observation for a few days to begin a recovery phase.
Kevin: “Despite everything I feel good, we worked very well with the team, it makes me have confidence in the bike and allows me to express my potential well.
I am sorry to have concluded the tests in this way, I would have preferred not to have crashes and these consequences but unfortunately this is also racing.
I want to thank all the medical staff of the circuit who were very ready to help me and all the hospital staff who are taking care of me in the best possible way. "
We will keep you updated on his condition and on his physical recovery.
Kevin thanks the sponsors and technical partners of the 2022 season.
