The official tests were held on the legendary Japanese track of Suzuka in preparation for the 46th edition of the "Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours", one of the most iconic endurance races in the world, won in the past by champions of the caliber of Valentino Rossi.
Kevin Manfredi, riding the Honda CBR1000RR-R of Team Kaedear Rac41, concluded the two days of testing in an extremely positive way, showing an excellent feeling with the bike and confirming constant growth in terms of performance.
The absolute protagonist on the track was the scorching heat, with asphalt temperatures that touched 70°C, putting the bike, tires, riders and technicians to the test.
Kevin: “Racing at Suzuka with a Honda has a particular charm, considering that the headquarters of the parent company is located right next to the circuit. The tests went very well: session after session we improved both the feeling and the pace, finishing with the second best time in the Superstock category in 2’08”2, really close to the pole position for 2024. Compared to last year, I was definitely faster, especially on the race pace, which will be fundamental for the race.”
The 46th edition of the Suzuka 8 Hours will be held on August 2 and 3, with the official program starting on July 30 with free practice. The race format will remain identical to that of Le Mans and Spa: two 20-minute qualifying sessions per driver, night-time free practice and, finally, the most challenging and fascinating race of the 2025 calendar.
Kevin Manfredi and Team Kaedear Rac41 Honda will take to the track with one goal: to be ready for the season finale in September, on the Paul Ricard circuit.
Kevin thanks all the sponsors and technical partners of the 2025 season.
