Less than a month after his 5th edition of the 24h of Le Mans, the Spezzino Kevin Manfredi returns to the Bugatti Circuit, but this time he finds himself traveling the French track with the MotoE of the Octo Pramac Racing Team and under the eyes of the larger public in the history of the world championship here in France, around 225,000 spectators attended.
An apprenticeship weekend for Kevin who, even if he struggled a lot to find the perfect feeling, was still in line with the times of the rookies of the past years who today are fighting for top positions such as Zannoni, Okubo etc.
Kevin Manfredi: "It was not easy to" reset "all the points of reference I have on this circuit with the 1000cc, after passing this step we fought for the whole weekend with some speed problems, problems on which we will work in view of the next one appointment at Mugello. We need to improve the qualifying to get closer to the leaders so that we can be more performing in the race.
In both races this weekend we have been good at bringing home useful data even if the results are not what we had hoped for.
In race 1, after fighting the whole race for the top 10, we finished in 13th place, in race 2 we reduced the gap to the winner, but unfortunately we did not go beyond 16th place.
We knew that we would have struggled a lot at the beginning of the season compared to those who have been in this category for years, but we must work to emerge from the problems and I hope to do so on the weekend at home scheduled in two weeks at Mugello.
The third round of the championship will be a good test for us, we must be able to make the most of every round and the warmth of the home crowd.
I thank the team for the excellent work they are doing, I hope to soon repay them and all my sponsors with the results we deserve. "
Kevin will be back on track with Team Octo Pramac MotoE, for the third round of the season on 28/29 May at the Mugello International Circuit, but before he will be present at the two days of testing at the SPA Francorchamps circuit with the Wojcik Racing Team in sight. of the 24h of SPA to be held in June.
Kevin thanks all the sponsors and technical partners of the 2022 season.
