When the challenge calls… Kevin Manfredi answers !!!
The new adventures have always been liked by the Spezzino rider who has never held back in trying other specialties besides speed and this time a nice Christmas present arrives for him, the invitation from Valentino Rossi and the VR46 to participate in the 100km dei Campioni 2021 to be held in the very famous Tavullia Ranch on December 4th and 5th.
The 100km dei Campioni is a race organized by the 9 times World Champion, in which every year Champions and / or friends from the world of motorcycling come from MotoGP, Superbike, Motocross etc. they compete in a flat track race in pairs on its track located in the heart of Tavullia.
The event will have a well-defined regulation on the preparation of the motorcycles for the race and on the types of tires to be used, so as to keep the conditions of all the riders equal.
It will have a very rich program starting from Saturday 4th in which free practice, qualifying and the first race, the so-called “Americana” elimination race, will take place.
On Sunday 5th after the warmup, the "100km of Champions" will start, the Endurance-style challenge in pairs with the race start on the opposite side of the bike and the alternation of riders on the track.
It will be two days of pure fun but certainly no one will spare, among the riders who will try to compete for the victory with the host Valentino Rossi, there are several hot names like that of Jorge Lorenzo, who just a few days ago canceled a trip to be present, Maverick Vinales, Alex Rins, Jeremy Mcgrat and many others.
For Kevin it will be the very first time riding a Flat Track bike and where to debut if not in the homeland of Italian Motorcycling?!.
Kevin: "When I received the invitation I initially thought it was a joke, we all would like to go and shoot at the Ranch with Valentino Rossi but it seems like one of those impossible things, then I realized it was all true and I immediately accepted his invitation.
It will be a unique experience for me, in which to learn to better control the bike from Flat on the track with great Champions and former rivals, I can't wait to try the ranch and make the most of this opportunity to further improve my style. driving."
The Spezzino rider will therefore spend the weekend in the ranch of 9 times World Champion Valentino Rossi in the year of his retirement from racing, to make all this possible was the fundamental help of Esuka and Salice, two important sponsors who have decided to join forces by purchasing a Yamaha 450 in Flat Track configuration and thus allowing Kevin to participate in this race and have a vehicle with which to train at his best during the winter in view of the 2022 season.
For the important occasion, the pilot had a completely new graphic created, stay tuned to all his official social profiles to find out !.
The race will take place behind closed doors and by invitation, will not be broadcast live on Sky but will be made of the shots that will be broadcast later.
Kevin Manfredi thanks all the sponsors and technical partners who supported him in the 2021 season and in this important event.
