After a 2022 season closed in crescendo on the saddle of the GSX-R1000, Kevin and Ivan Goretti's Penta Motorsport Team have decided to continue together also in 2023. The team will once again be at the start of the Italian Superbike Championship with a program of three wildcards that will give continuity to the work begun in the previous season and with a view to the future.
A decision made in the last few hours has seen the Team owner focus again on La Spezia with whom he has created an excellent relationship both on and off the track.
Kevin : “I'm very happy to race again this year in the CIV SBK and above all to do it with Penta Motorsport which is a team made up of fantastic people.
Until today this commitment in the CIV did not seem possible due to the coincidences with the MotoE World Championship and the Endurance World Championship but today in a few hours we managed to find an agreement to continue our journey on the track together.
We will only be present at 50% of the Championship with the intention of equaling and improving on previous results.
It will certainly be difficult to get the same results as last year with only three rounds of the Championship, but the important thing for me is to stay on the bike as much as possible and carry on the good work that we started together with the Team in 2022.”
The dates of the Italian Superbike Speed Championship in which Kevin will be present are the following:
- 29/30 April (Misano);
- 29/30 July (Misano);
- 7/8 October (Imola).
