CIV SBK, KEVIN FROM TOP5

A hot and torrid weekend that just ended at Mugello Circuit for Round 3 of the Italian Speed Championship, with peaks of 37ºC that put riders, bikes and teams to the test during each session.

On the Tuscan circuit Kevin Manfredi was once again among the protagonists of the Superbike class, despite the fact that after the Vallelunga round the Spezzino, unlike his rivals, did not carry out any tests.

A lot of work and professionalism have allowed the “nose” of Suzuki of Team Penta Motorsport to approach the official bikes with two excellent races, reducing the gap from the top5 with incredible lap times and without ever making mistakes.

What should have been the most difficult track for this bike, on the other hand, gave a good response in terms of speed compared to previous seasons which, thanks to the work of the Rider and Team on the development of the GSX-R 1000, achieved speed in several sessions. very high, among the best, with an important exploit in the Warmup, where Kevin got the fifth position just 0.8 tenths from the leader Michele Pirro, Ducati Motogp test rider.

Kevin seems to feel at ease on the Suzuki, a bike that after dark years in the CIV, returns to show itself with two eighth positions in Race 1 and Race 2.

Kevin Manfredi: "314km / h against Pyrrhic's 316km / h is not bad, we are only at the beginning of this new adventure and what penalizes us are the few kilometers traveled to date, however we are working very well and at every turn we are getting closer and closer to the fastest bikes and riders in the category.

At Mugello even in very hot weather we made no mistakes and we grew further compared to Vallelunga, obtaining two eighth positions just a few tenths from sixth place. These results added to those of the tests make us happy, especially because we are the only team in the Italian Championship to use a Suzuki motorcycle, this involves double work every weekend to try different solutions and find the right direction.

I am sure that continuing our path we will soon be among the protagonists, to get even more prepared for Round 4 of Misano in fact together with the Team we have decided to plan some tests that we will carry out in July. "

Kevin Manfredi with two less races in the CIV SBK, due to the injury at the start of the season, is already in the top ten in the Superbike standings with 32 total points and with only 8 points separating him from 6th place in the standings.

Kevin thanks all the sponsors and technical partners of the 2022 season.
